Giuseppe Ricciardo

He began studying music at the age of seven, attending classical clarinet courses. After moving to Rome, he continued his studies at the Scuola Popolare di Musica in Testaccio. He then approached the saxophone and jazz music. He began to attend the seminars of some of the greatest exponents of international jazz including: Steve Grossman and Barry Harris. Established as an expert in music and in particular saxophone, he was called for important collaborations including the one with the director Pupi Avati for the film Ma quando arrivano le ragazze?. He took part in the orchestra conducted by Maestro Marco Tiso for the recording of the film Natale a Londra. He plays for the theater and in particular has been part of the non-conforming jazz band of the actor Enrico Montesano, a band that supports him in his theatrical performances in the major theaters of Italy. It is part of well-known formations composed of some of the most esteemed musicians of the Capital and beyond, with one of which in particular participates in the transmission Quelli dello Swing directed and conducted by Renzo Arbore and Gege Telesforo. In 2017 he participated in Umbria Jazz Winter and performed in the most important Italian jazz clubs. He is the creator and director of DiJazz.
Francesca Faro
Voice
Jazz singer, singing teacher, author, Orff-Schulwerk operator, is today one of the most interesting Italian voices from traditional Jazz and Swing, with more than fifteen years of activity, concerts and collaborations with some of the most prominent names in Italian jazz. He has participated in film and television soundtracks, and recorded a single for VIRGIN in 2003. She has collaborated, among others, with Renzo Arbore and has performed in numerous festivals. Actress and singer in various theatrical productions, she also deals with the writing and realization of shows of interaction between music, theater, dance and painting.
Emanuele Zappia
Drums
From an early age he devoted himself passionately to listening and studying jazz music and began his drum studies at the age of 10. Over the years he moved to Rome and then continued his studies at the UM (University of Music). In July 2007 he won the "JIMMY WOODE AWARD", as best drummer and immediately after graduating from high school, he began teaching in the same UM. Since 2010 he has been performing for many years in Monte Carlo at the Bar Américain of the Hotel de Paris. He has recorded two albums and participated in numerous festivals.
Giuseppe Talone
Double bass and Bassotuba
Born in 1975 he specialized in electric bass and double bass at the St. Louis Music Center in Rome, under the guidance of renowned masters also winning a scholarship of merit. He has attended international specialization courses and participated in several national and international events. He has released numerous albums and took part in a theatrical season under the direction of Gigi Proietti.
Simone Crinelli
Sax
After years of higher education and a degree in Jazz, obtained at the University of Gothenburg, Sweden, he continues his career teaching abroad at universities and public and private schools. He also dedicates himself to concert activity in Italy, both in formations and as a soloist. He works for the theater and television with important collaborations and has published 7 records.
Vincenzo Lucarelli
Piano
Of Roman origin he chose to study in the United States where he spent a few years at the Manhattan School of Music in New York, after courses with Garry Dial. The result of his experiences finds expression in his discography that counts to date 4 albums. His music has little to do with the typical jazz made in Italy: it is jazz with roots in the African American world, full of swing and rhythmic charge, improvisational imagination and harmonic wisdom. He has participated in numerous concerts and festivals including Jerusalem Festival and Segni di Jazz (with Steve Grossman) Casa del Jazz.
Gino Cardamone
Guitar and Banjo
Born in Pisa, he began studying music with the flute and then moved on to the guitar at the age of 15. He moved to Rome to specialize in jazz guitar, attending the University of Music and later the Fonderia delle Arti. He assiduously follows the seminars held by the great pianist and teacher Barry Harris, with whom he deepens the language of jazz and bebop. He attended several seminars held by internationally renowned jazz musicians, such as Siena Jazz, La Spezia Jazz, Eddie Lang Jazz Festival. At the same time he carries out an intense concert activity in jazz clubs and festivals in which he has the opportunity to confront himself with highly experienced musicians. In recent years he has specialized in the use of rhythm guitar and banjo in jazz, deepening the styles of traditional jazz, dixieland and swing.
Stefano Nencha
Guitar
Stefano's passion for music was born through the self-taught study of the piano as a child, then discovering the guitar as his instrument. His studies took place in music schools in Rome, continuing at the Conservatory of Santa Cecilia, devoting himself particularly to the study of jazz technique and improvisation. He has attended numerous seminars held by great jazz musicians; he regularly plays in exclusive locations and jazz clubs in Rome with musicians of great caliber. He has recorded many soundtracks and records; he has participated in numerous jazz festivals including Villa Celimontana Jazz, Teano Jazz Winter, Along Came Jazz in Tivoli, Umbria Jazz Winter in Orvieto. He performed at the International Music Fest in Ningbo, Shanghai (Maritime Silk Road Music Festival). He took part as a member of the orchestra in the tour of Enrico Brignano's show "Sono romano ma" which made stops in all the greatest Italian theaters. Today he teaches modern guitar and jazz.
